It’s late summer in Florida, and if you have children, you are likely running out of things to do to keep them entertained without melting in the heat and humidity. No one wants to go outside in the heat, and the options are limited … until now.
Keith and Gina Klimas are the owners of “Kids Fun Zone” in DeLand at 1738 S Woodland Blvd, in the Victoria Square Shopping Center. It is an indoor playground, bounce house, and party center recommended for children age 10 and under. It features inflatable bounce houses and slides, obstacle courses and a huge indoor playground. The Klimas’ are also the owners of “That One Fun Place,” a similar facility in Daytona Beach.
The couple state on their website that “Kids Fun Zone” is not a franchise. It is their own small business that has finally come to fruition after they came up with the idea in April 2017. Family values are at the center of the Klimas’ mission. As the parents of two young boys, they “believe strongly that children are to be treasured, protected and given safe and fun opportunities to express themselves and have fun.” The couple is committed to the family atmosphere at their business and encourage patrons and families to introduce themselves and say hello.
Prices for Kids Fun Zone start at $7.99, and discounts are offered when purchasing a 10-visit pass. The hours are 10-7 every day. Birthday party packages are also available.
