There is something that kids of all ages appreciate, and that is ice cream, especially good ice cream. DeLand certainly has several places to choose from, but one of the favorites is The Sweet Spot. It is a down right staple! Every flavor is homemade with creativity and love. Some of the favorites include Maple Bacon, Key Lime Pie and Salted Chocolate Toffee.
Originally next to Bellini’s on Rich Ave., the Sweet Spot has recently moved further north along Woodland Blvd., in the former Subway location. Owners Jimmy and Melissa Brissey enjoyed having the location in Downtown, but decided to change the location to be directly on the town’s main thoroughfare. Jimmy and Melissa have not been disappointed. The shop’s faithful fans have continued to support them since they opened in the new location earlier in April.
If you appreciate quality ice cream, and haven’t yet been to the new Sweet Spot location, we want to encourage you to check it out. In fact, we will even buy you a scoop of ice cream.
