Recently, DeLand was named as America’s best Mainstreet. That title didn’t come from happenstance, but from a community of businesses that share the same vision for their community.

One way that the community comes together is off Woodland Blvd. at the Farmers Market that happens on Artisan Alley, featuring local produce, plants, pickles, honey, baked goods, arts & crafts. Beyond that, every quarter, the same area hosts the Indie Market.

The DeLand Indie Market is a curated event that is held four times a year in Artisan Alley showcasing artists, boutiques, vintage and handmade vendors. Besides the amazing products, there is great food and live music in the courtyard of Cafe DaVinci

Organized by Courtney Hamil in 2013, The event features approximately 90 independent artists and craft vendors from throughout the state. It has been a quarterly tradition ever since.

The next Indie Market will be held on December 3, and will be the holiday edition. This is the perfect for purchasing those hard-to-get Christmas items and is sure to become a great holiday tradition for your family.
