Sometimes life brings you full circle. Business is no different, and in this case, it involves the next generation. Swann & Associates was started in 1987. At that time, founder Todd Swann had a good idea want he wanted his logo to be. A swan made perfect sense, and it represented excellence and quality service, the very principles that reflected his business.

In ’87, Todd contracted local designer and sign maker, Mike Orr to design the logo for Swann Associates. Mike was cutting edge when it came to branding and designing signs, making businesses stand out and be distinguished. “He’s always taken pride in what he does,” Todd said of Mike Orr. “You always know what you are going to get. Quality.”

That logo stuck with Swann & Associates for 30 years. It has been a constant for business cards, office signage, websites and real estate signage. “It set our business apart in town,” Todd said. “Mike did a great job!”

Fast forward 30 years. Todd has two sons involved in the real estate agency. Turner and Brinson Swann are following close in their father’s footsteps. Mike Orr has someone that has also followed in his footsteps also. His son Clark has made a name for himself and his own business on a global scale, thanks to his artistic design abilities. Clark has worked with the national brand, Johnny Cupcakes, and has also been commissioned by several large companies such as Facebook and Nike, along with musicians to create design work and branding.

Todd’s son, Turner and Mike’s son, Clark connected in 2016 about designing a new logo to compliment the name change from Swann and Associates to Swann Real Estate. It was similar to the discussion that took place between their fathers 30 years ago.

Clark was able to take the design of his father and update it, giving it a simple and modern look without sacrificing the initial qualities of the original design. The new Swann logo compliments the agency’s latest website and communicates the next generation’s commitment to the ideals that the company was founded upon, but also mark a new era of real estate.

Just as the business relationship between the Orr’s and Swann’s started so long ago, it is expected to last for years to come, thanks to the next generation.
