So nice, we’d like it twice! If you are a fan of Jeremiah’s Italian Ice located at the south end of DeLand, you may be pleasantly surprised to learn that another location is set to open at the north end of town in the coming months.
Additionally, if Tex-Mex is your craving, you’ll be excited to know that DeLand’s first Tijuana Flats will open next door to the new Jeremiah’s location.
And finally, if you want to eat one or both of those just after leaving a local home improvement store, well… There is no better time to visit North DeLand!
Renovations are currently underway at the new locations in the Lowe’s anchored plaza, Paradise Shoppes of DeLand, off East International Speedway Boulevard. The plaza is currently home to: T-Mobile; Sepulveda Hair Studio; Nice Massage & Spa; State Farm; AT&T; and Dudley’s. The Tijuana Flats location will open first in a former mailing business, although no date has been announced, and then about 60 days later, the Jeremiah’s will welcome dine-in, walk-up and drive-thru guests at the location situated at the end of the Plaza- the former Chase Bank location.
The owner of both new locations, Josh Fogarty, also owns the Tijuana Flats in Orange City and Daytona Beach and is excited to bring the franchise to DeLand. The location will allow a large patio for dining in the great Florida weather. In addition, the DeLand location will be the third to have a liquor license and offer patrons traditional margaritas made with tequila instead of the agave wine base used in other locations. When opened, it’ll be the fifth Tijuana Flats in Volusia County with others in Deltona, Orange City, Daytona Beach and Ormond Beach.
