Swann Real Estate has been a business fixture in DeLand since 1987, when right after owner Todd Swann started the company. Since 2004, the Swann Real Estate was located in the plaza known as “Swann Landing” at 1205 S. Woodland Blvd. But as the Byrds once sang, “to everything there is a season.” Beginning in January 2019, the well known real estate agency moved to its new location at 505 E. New York Ave. Transitions are always challenging, but this move brings a new era of enthusiasm to Todd and all of the agents at Swann.
The new work space is open and has a “coffee shop-style” vibe. It is comfortable for agents, clients and guests. Some have even nicknamed the new office “Swann Coffee Shop” or “Apple Store DeLand” because of the three visible iMac computers available for agents.
It is not only a new chapter for Swann Real Estate, but real estate in general. In the age of technology and the mobile office, coworking is becoming a quick reality, even in real estate. Typically, coworking involves a space with many different businesses, freelancers, etc. working together. For now, Swann’s new facility is reserved mostly for agents.
“As we have migrated our systems over to the cloud, many of our agents began working remotely a few years ago,” said Swann Real Estate founder Todd Swann. “We wanted to give them a nice place to hang their hats that will allow them to come and go, yet still have a collaborative environment.”
