The holiday season is officially here and so is peak travel season. Living in Central Florida, there’s a good chance that you or someone you know will be traveling throughout the next month by air. But air travel doesn’t have to be expensive if you plan well.
There are a few very affordable options when it comes to choosing an airline. If traveling out west, Frontier Airlines (with a hub in Denver) has several low cost flights from Orlando International Airport. Also, Allegiant Air, which is based at Orlando Sanford International Airport, has several direct flights to popular destinations from Sanford. If you are looking for convenience and don’t mind paying a little more, then Daytona International Airport has nonstop direct flights to Atlanta, Charlotte and New York City.
To give you an example, we did a simple search on Google Flights to give you some estimated costs.
Orlando to New Orleans. Roundtrip on Frontier Airlines from $57 with no overhead bin access. Price is $127 for overhead bin access. Extra fees applicable for checked baggage.
Sanford to Cincinnati. Roundtrip on Allegiant Airlines from $87. Includes overhead bin access, but extra baggage fees are not included.
