South DeLand not only continues to grow residentially by leaps and bounds, but it seems there are new commercial additions happening every month. Here are a few of the latest additions.
The West Volusia Regional Shopping Center has two new additions set to open. Five Below is set to open November 1. The discount store offers “Hot stuff. Cool Prices.” With 850 stores in 33 states, the 2701A S Woodland Blvd location becomes the third Volusia County store. Everything in the store is, you guessed it, $5 or less. The store carries everything from kids’ toys and candy to beauty products and home décor.
Immediately next to Five Below is Earth Fare. The grocery chain focused on health is renovating the space left vacant by Winn-Dixie last year. Earth Fare, based in Asheville, NC, focuses on organic, sustainable products, Earth Fare pride themselves on a “Food Philosophy” which is food that is free of added hormones, artificial fats and trans-fats, artificial sweeteners, bleached or bromated flour, antibiotics, high fructose corn syrup, artificial preservatives, and artificial colors or flavors. The store also offers many “Grab & Go” options for healthy, fresh, delicious food – offering home-cooked meals for busy lives.
Across Orange Camp, KeKe’s Breakfast Café looks to open soon. The new building in the Country Club Corners Shopping Center has the marquee up outside. Neither the Facebook page or corporate website list an opening date, both list the DeLand location as coming soon. KeKe’s slogan “It’s like your hometown diner grew up and went to the city” highlights their take on how to make breakfast an outstanding experience. After months of waiting, the Dunkin Donuts on Spring Garden Ave is finally brewing! The newest store opened on October 9 and has been hopping ever since. Located across from Winn Dixie at 140 S Spring Garden Ave makes this location the third Dunkin Donuts in DeLand. Opening each morning at 4 a.m., this newest shop is a welcome addition to the west side of town.
