If you’re looking to light up your 4th of July, Volusia County is home to a multitude of fun ways to celebrate our freedom with fireworks.

In Orange City, the celebration will be held on Friday, June 28 with fireworks scheduled for 9:00 p.m. Valentine Park (1575 W French Ave) will also have vendors, food and a watermelon eating contest before the fireworks begin.

For fun before the Fourth, consider visiting the Firecracker Festival at DeLand’s Earl Brown Park beginning at 5:00 p.m. Food trucks, a kids’ zone and a free concert by the Bay Kings all precede the 9:00 fireworks.

Red, Hot and Boom is back again on July 3 at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs. Live bands, food and drinks begin at 4:00 p.m. before the fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

At Daytona International Speedway, the fireworks will be after the Circle K Firecracker 250 on Friday, July 5. The race is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

On Thursday, July 4 you’ll have your choice of locations to watch the fireworks.

Debary hosts “Freedom and Fireworks” at Gemini Springs Park (37 Dirksen Dr) from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. There will also be games food vendors and live music.

In Deltona, the “Fireworks Extravaganza” will be from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Dewey O Boster Sports Complex (1200 Saxon Blvd).

If you’re looking for fireworks over the water, New Smyrna Beach’s Riverside Park (105 S Riverside Dr) is home to a 9:15 p.m. fireworks show. The festivities begin at 9:00 a.m. (8:30 a.m. check-in) for a free family fishing tournament. A hot dog cookout and awards end the tournament at 1:00 p.m. The celebration picks back up at 3:00 with food trucks and concerts from the MaxQ Band and Cactus Jack and the Cadillacs.

Ormond Beach’s Independence Day Celebration has fun for all ages. Located at the Ormond Beach City Hall (22 S. Beach St) the fun begins at 6:00 p.m. with games, crafts, music, magic and a patriotic kids corner. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m.

If you’re looking to venture outside of Volusia County, check out “Fireworks at the Fountain”, a fireworks display and laser show in downtown Orlando at Lake Eola Park. Beginning at 4:00 p.m. the event features live music and a kids’ play area before the fireworks and laser show begins at 9:15 p.m.

If the hot weather is driving you indoors, the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art in Winter Park is offering free admission on July 4. The museum hosts the world’s largest collection of works by famed artist Louis Comfort Tiffany.
