‘Tis the season to be merry and bright and no small city does it better than DeLand. It’s no secret that we think this city is extremely special and charming. DeLand rolls out the red carpet for Santa and his merry makers (that’s you !) in December!
DeLand Christmas Light Show
This is a brand new tradition you’ll want to incorporate into your season. The show, presented by Stetson Baptist Church, is poised to have 10,000 lights set to Christmas music. You can drive in and watch from your vehicle and tune into a special radio station to hear the music or park and sit on your blankets and chairs at an up front viewing area.
Where: Stetson Baptist Church- 1025 W Minnesota Ave, DeLand
When: Nightly from December 5th to the 30th (no shows on the 9th, Christmas Eve or Christmas day)
Time: Shows run continuously for 25 minutes from 5:30-8:00.
Cost: Zero. Donations accepted.

Stetson Mansion:
Explore the former home of the renowned hat maker and namesake of Stetson University’s 1886, Victorian home via self-guided tours. Guests will see the breathtaking architecture and furnishings and be awed by the display of Christmas decorations and lights. The home boasts 24 nativities from around the world. This year is the 10th annual Christmas Spectacular and will highlight favorite decorations from the last decade.

Cost: $27 plus $3 fee and 6.5% sales tax

Downtown DeLand
No Christmas season would be complete without featuring the downtown vendors, events, shows and a parade! Below are just two of the multiple events downtown. Make sure you visit the Mainstreet DeLand Association page at https://mainstreetdeland.org to see them all!DeLand Rotary Christmas Parade
Join the “big guy” himself and all his merry makers as the ride through downtown with their floats and bands. Young and old alike will enjoy the lights and merriment of this hour-ish long parade. DeLandites LOVE their parades and will arrive extra early (or send a volunteer) to claim a great spot, so plan to drop off chairs, blankets and maybe pack a few snacks.
Where: Downtown DeLand, Woodland Blvd. from Stetson University south to Melching Field (check this!)
When: Saturday, December 5th at 6pm
Mistletoe March
It’s the annual scavenger hunt that thrills young and young at heart and it features our beloved Christmas soldiers. Participants pick up a passport at any participating vendor and search for the miniature toy soldier. When found, get a stamp from that vendor and head out for your next location. There are prize drawings for completed passports and participants get a great look at 20-25 Mainstreet stores.
Where: Downtown DeLand, various vendors
When: 11/22-12/20- drawing is at 6:00 on the 20th. (not required to attend to win)
Cost: zero
