Dining in Downtown DeLand is always a fun experience, and now there are a few more options with some our favorite local restaurants at lunch! By the end of this post, your stomach will likely be growling.

Santorini is now spreading its tasty hummus at lunchtime. The local Greek favorite, located at 210 N Woodland Blvd, is open at 11 a.m. and offers a special menu Monday through Friday. The lunch options include all of the dinner favorites including appetizers tzatziki and spanakopita, lamb and beef gyros, traditional and vegetarian moussaka, and baklava for dessert. For the full menu and hours of operation, check out their website at http://santoriniindeland.com.

After expanding to regular dinner hours, Cress is serving up their globally inspired cuisine for lunch. Cress is now opening its doors from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Even with a reduced menu, the flavors abound. North African lentil stew, chicken and andouille gumbo, wagyu cheeseburger, gnocchi and tikka masala curry join a local catch of the day along with vegetarian options. To make reservations and see the complete menu, visit their website at http://www.cressrestaurant.com.

Another lunch favorite is getting a new, larger location. Chicas Cuban Café is relocating from its home on Howry Ave across from the DeLand Fire Department. Their new spot at the Artisan Downtown, located at 215 W Woodland Blvd, will more than double the number of tables they can seat. Chicas will be expanding their dinner hours and serving a more upscale dinner menu. With the new location, Chicas will be closed on Mondays.
