Calling all Hatters and friends! Stetson University’s 2019 Homecoming will be November 8 – 10. A full weekend of events offers something for all years of alumni and their families. Here is a quick rundown of everything that is going on.
Friday evening the celebration begins with a food truck festival in the Rinker Field Parking area from 5 – 8 p.m. The baseball team hosts UCF at Melching Field at 6 p.m for an exhibition game. The night will finish will a lip sync battle from 8 – 10 p.m. at the Edmunds Center.
Saturday begins with the president’s breakfast and awards at 9 a.m. Football festivities kickoff with the HatterWalk at 9:50 a.m. where the 4-1 football team, coaching staff, cheerleading squad and John B. will make their way through the crowds, cowbells and signs to the stadium. Tailgating begins at 10 a.m. before the 12 p.m. kickoff where Hatter Football hosts the University of San Diego at Spec Martin Stadium.
Sunday morning the annual veterans gathering and recognition breakfast will be in the Carlton Union Building at 9:00. The Stetson University Concert Choir and University Organist will perform at the 11:00 Alumni Chapel. Stetson Alumni singers are welcomed to join the choir for the Alma Mater.
Throughout the weekend, several sports teams are hosting reunion events including rowing, beach volleyball, tennis and softball. Multiple class reunions will hold private events including groups celebrating 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 35, 40, 45, 50 and 60 years!
