Floridians, like most, have family traditions when it comes to celebrating our nation’s birthday. Memories of kids jumping in the swimming pool and the smell of hamburgers on the grill often flood our minds of Independence Days of the past. If you have never made one of the professional fireworks displays in the area part of your family’s celebration, this is the year to check it out. Volusia County has a multitude of different options when it comes to fireworks displays. 

July 2 – Orange City
There will be fireworks and more at Valentine Park beginning at 5 p.m. The event will host live music, a kid’s area, entertainment, food for purchase, and more. Get the details here.

July 2 – Firecracker Beach Run
There will be an annual 4-mile beach run in Daytona Beach. Get the info here.

July 1-4 Daytona Beach
There will be a weekend of 4th of July festivities and fireworks at the Daytona International Speedway. Get more info here.

July 2-4 Flagler Beach

July 3- Edgewater
The annual firework event will take place at George R. Kennedy Memorial Park. Before the fireworks, there will be festivities, including live entertainment and vendors. The festivities begin at 5 p.m., while the fireworks will begin at dusk. See more info here.

July 4 – Port Orange
The 4th of July Spectacular will take place at the City Center in Port Orange. There will be festivities that begin at 5:30 p.m., while the fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. More information can be found here.

July 4 – Bandshell in Daytona Beach
There will be fireworks around 9:45 p.m., following the Eagles tribute concert by “The Alter Eagles,” which begins at 7:15 p.m. Get more info here.

July 4 – Ormond Beach
The City of Ormond Beach fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. This event will take place at Rockefeller Park, Fortunato Park, and Cassen Park (26 Riverside Drive in Ormond Beach). There will be food vendors, live bands, kids activities, and more. 

July 4 – DeBary
The DeBary fireworks will be held at Gemini Springs Park. The festivities will begin at 4 p.m. There will be festivities, including games, vendors, and fun. 

July 4 – New Smyrna Beach
New Smyrna Beach residents and visitors may celebrate our nation’s independence with music, food and fireworks Monday, July 4, in the Canal Street Historic District. Gourmet food trucks will begin serving at 4 p.m.along Riverside Drive. Cactus Jack and the Cadillacs will play from 5-9:30 p.m. outside the Brannon Civic Center.  Fireworks begin over the river at 9:15 p.m. Riverside Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic from 4:30 – 10 p.m.

July 4 – Lake Helen
They will be having a Fourth of July parade that begins at 10 a.m. Fourth of July events will begin earlier in the day, with the music beginning at 6 p.m. in Royal Park, while the fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. Get more details here.
